SUMMARY

The project focuses on teaching students how to live a healthy life in a world which traps them into spending most of their free time practicing limited physical activity. The activities will be divided into two parts.


First they will focus on teaching students to pay more attention to what they eat every day, to cook and eat healthy food. Doctors and experts will be invited to lecture on healthy lifestyle (1 lecture every 2 months). It will be celebrated the Day of Healthy Food on which students will cook healthy food by the recipes given by partners and collected into a book of international cookery. On the last project meeting the evaluation of students’ work will be organized in the frame of an international competition “Healthy Lifestyle”. Students will prepare presentations, videos, posters, logos related to the importance of healthy lifestyle and the dangers of a sedentary life (The competition and the Day of Healthy Food will be celebrated each year and will become part of the regular school activities).


The second year of the project will be dedicated to organizing and involving students into sport events. The events will focus on the importance of an active life and the dangers of being sedentary. These will turn into everlasting athletics, volleyball, football, gymnastics and dance competitions. During the project meetings throughout the second year there will be organized international sport competitions. The winners will be awarded the Cup of Actively Ageing Teenager. It will also be elaborated an International Health Life Book-Adviser which will be based on peer to peer education. The final products will be the website including all the materials developed and videos of the events organized, the international cookery book and the international competitions
